COMMENT TIPS

We know that commenting on a nuanced subject like Forest Planning can be intimidating; it is hard to know where to begin.  This section is here to make that process easier.  Here are a few things you should know before you start:

• Individual and unique comments are important to the Forest Service, a form letter doesn't carry the same weight as a personal letter 

• A personal story or justification for your position gives your letter more credibility 

• Mountain bikers are a seldom heard from demographic in Forest Planning, therefore often lose valuable access; your comment is very valuable and will have an impact on this process which will last for decades
