The Custer-Gallatin National Forest Plan Revision will determine how the land is managed for the coming decades, including access for mountain bikers. Your comments and participation in this process make a big difference.

Participants and contributors to this webpage have taken hundreds of hours to educate themselves on the science, policy, process, culture and other factors that affect both Forest Planning and management policy. SWMMBA, Livingston Bike Club and Big Sky Mountain Bike Alliance representatives participated and collaboratively drafted the Gallatin Forest Partnership agreement and proudly endorse it as a means to preserve the backcountry character of the Gallatin Range and surrounding areas while preserving mountain bike access and potentially creating some new trails including one linking Livingston to Bozeman.

The recently released Forest Service document with alternatives is 900 pages plus supporting documents such as maps, study reports, and reference materials.  We have highlighted the most important topics for cyclists in these pages. Thank you for visiting and using this webpage and commenting portal. Explore all the pages, educate yourself and comment via the links provided to help preserve mountain bike access.
